Description

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for preparing the chemicals used by the control department. 

 

JOB OBJECTIVES:

A. Operational

1. Weigh incoming raw materials prior to storage
2. Remove contents of 55 gallon drums by auger or pouring and place into a pre-mix container or tote
3. Move tech materials from chemical storage area to the process room
4. Transport tote tanks from the process room to the injection room by means of forklift, pallet jack or other means
5. Place tote at proper station in the injection room and hook up to the heating system
6. Relocate tote to the injection system for use in the process and ensure proper temperature and hook-up
7. Remove empty totes from the injection room to the pre-process room
8. Triple rinse drums with a solvent or water as required prior to disposal from the chemical storage area
9. Record each transaction
10. Clean mixers when necessary
11. Responsible for spill control and clean up as directed and in accordance with established procedures
12. Ensure sprays are working properly and maintained
13. Perform laboratory extractions and operate lab equipment to verify technical material and finished goods.
14. Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A. Education and Experience

1. High School education preferred but not required
2. Must possess a valid forklift certification
3. Be physically capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment including a respirator.
4. Mechanical knowledge helpful
5. Must be able to work with minimal supervision
6. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis
7. Basic computer literacy and operation of Microsoft Excel

1. Must be able to work in a team environment
2. Reliable, dependable and trustworthy

 

D. Systems Skills

1. Must have an understanding of powershop and be able to input data on a touch screen
