Applications Engineer- Embedded Firmware

Overview:

MPS is seeking a highly self-motivated Applications Engineer with good knowledge in embedded firmware for different applications. This person will develop firmware for a embedded power and IoT Projects (MQTT, Actuators, Sensors).

Essential Functions:

• Analyze and evaluate SW requirements for development the solutions.

• Design & Implement the software considering the hardware design.

• Work with hardware team to define the implementation of the optimal solutions

• Perform system and low level testing of implemented solutions

• Work with our test equipment tool in define new needs

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS is preferred

• Some exposure to IoT MQTT, or other network based communications protocol

• Experience with ARM-based MCU is preferred

• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem- solving environment

• Make it happen attitude. Adapt to the situation and find the way to solve the problems and work around.

• Good oral and written skills for communication and documentation

• Self-motivated, strong team player
