Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Print/Production Project Manager (Client-Facing) is responsible for performing a variety of related tasks and support functions and is the conduit between various departments to complete in-store display and packaging projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review projects with internal teams to ensure an understanding of project requirements.
- Manage project approvals to achieve required due dates.
- Interfacing with customers on a daily basis.
- Track deliverables, ensure our customers are meeting their deliverable deadlines, and relay information to and from operations.
- Work alongside the sales team to drill down to detailed information from the client around the deliverables needed to successfully kit/fulfill their projects.
- Provide priority and communication to manufacturing and assembly to ensure on-time delivery and availability for assembly.
- Act as a liaison between manufacturing, customer service and assembly to manage execution of a project; takes on the responsibilities from the Account Coordinator for project manufacturing management.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to problems.
- Coordinate complex delivery requirements with shipping (containers, customer pickups, drop shipments, etc.
- Specify and identify potential vendors, negotiate terms and manage requirements including pricing when a project requires to be outsourced for lithographic production, manage due dates related to outsourcing.
- Document and publish project requirements through established procedures.
- Participate in periodic staff meetings.
- Participate in periodic training and development programs as required for the position.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous job-related tasks as may be assigned from time-to-time by a Management Representative.
SUMMARY of REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum 5+ years of related work experience or the equivalent education.
- Printing or technical packaging/display experience preferred.
- A commitment to ethical business standards and personal integrity.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills in both oral and written format.
- Negotiation skills, previous vendor relationship experience.
- Accuracy in work and strong attention to detail.
- High level of ability to work effectively with employees and managers/supervisors and the ability to convey a positive and professional image to employees and customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, E-mail, and Excel) spreadsheet applications. Exposure to other computer software such as File maker, CAD System Design software.
- Ability to use and interpret Internet/Intranet information.
- Above average ability in working with numbers to include the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must also demonstrate the ability to interpret drawings (customer specifications) and the ability to understand a variety of basic corrugated container designs.
