Description

Eagle Distributing is seeking an individual to maintain, repair and inspect all company vehicles to ensure that the vehicles operate in a safe and reliable manner.

The individual will perform routine maintenance on trucks and automotive vehicles.  Inspect machinery for faulty parts.  Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues.  Create plans of action for all repairs.  Follow checklists and protocols while conducting repairs.  Regularly clean and maintain tools and equipment.  Ensure a safe, organized and tidy workspace.  Input, track and maintain all maintenance data and records.  Maintain working conditions for all machinery.  Track inventory and order new parts when required.  Explain the nature of the repairs required and the plan of action.  Support co-workers and be a good team player.  Follow all health and safety laws and guidelines, as well as common-sense safety practices.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate should possess three (3) years mechanic experience.  High school diploma or GED required.  ASE certification high desired.  Proven mechanical acuity and basic math skill.  Familiarity with common mechanic's  tools, service and diagnostic equipment.

Proven ability to be a self-starter.  Plan, assign and resolve problems to a satisfactory  conclusion.  Provide feedback as needed.  Ability to communicate and interact with all employees.  Ability to think outside the box and challenge existing norms by communicating thoughts to managers.  Ability to work in uncomfortable, physically demanding positions.  Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
