Check-Mate Manufacturing has openings for Production Tech 3(s) responsible for all aspects in the Inspection of metal forming production, fabrication shop and assembly. The level 3 Inspector will be required to safely and efficiently execute assigned work in timely manner, meet quality standards and rates.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Prepare Non-conformance Report (NCR’s) for internal defects.
• Train team members in inspections methods and completing required reports.
• Inspects in-process production metal stampings.
• Documents actual findings utilizing Check-Mate Manufacturing forms.
• Performs visual Inspection of welded components for defects and cosmetic issues.
• Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
• Maintains work flow with no or minimum interruptions.
• Reads and understands Blueprints and Fundamental GD&T.
• Utilizes Micrometers, Calipers, Drop Gages and Dial Indicators.
• Utilizes Rockwell Test Equipment and Optical Comparator.
• Operate or learn to operate a “Smart-scope” CMM Shadow Graph.
• Performs set-up inspections and approval for generic production items.
• Performs set-up inspections and approvals for Medical and more complete items.
• Responsible for cleanliness and orderliness of work environment.
• Promotes team work and willingness to help others.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
• Responsible for following established safety procedures.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• 3-5 years of manufacturing/inspection experience
• Basic problem-solving and organizational skills
• Must be detailed oriented and strong basic mathematical knowledge
