Job Details

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Fits, adjusts, installs or fastens unit or component parts to a unit.

Solders (brazes) on the unit or its component parts.

Shotblasts units, moves material and drives the forklift.

Wraps units by using a heat gun.

Prepares units for shipping.

Cleans equipment

Performs housekeeping and other duties as required.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting 50 lbs. (occasional), Standing (constant), Walking (frequently), Bending (frequently), Climbing (occasional), Crawling (occasional), Reaching (frequent), Grasping (frequent), Sitting (occasional)

Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Must follow written and oral instructions. Vision corrected to 20/20. Handling equipment (frequently)

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Manufacturing – Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat (indoor), cold/heat (outdoor). Job hazards of working around heavy equipment and machinery.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Tape measure, small hand tools, power tools, crane, brazing torch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of hand tools. Read measuring tape. Good hand dexterity required to fit and assemble product. Some judgment required. Perform math at a level normally acquired through completion of high school. Ability to maintain clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.

Depending on the type of Assembler, this person must be able to qualify in one (1) of the following processes:

Insulation PSI Testing Tube Rolling Hydro Testing Cable Assembly Panel Assembly Water Box Installation Brazing Test Covers Shotblast Forklift Heat Gun

As a condition of employment, active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required.
