Summary
Responsible for assigned operations of ESP Cable & Cap Tube Spooler Truck & equipment, Pneumatic Banding tools to ensure continuous production consistent with the highest standards.
Functional Responsibilities
- Responsible for safe driving and travel. Punctuality to arrive on time to well location
- Responsible for safe operations onsite of well locations & lease roads & highways
- Responsible to inspect and perform preventative maintenance checks of Truck and Spooler and Pneumatic Banding tools for required band tension, deep crimp of seals, maintain cutting blade for easy cut of bands. Replace leaky seals & O-rings immediately.
- Must demonstrate willingness and ability of training to comprehend and perform processes of Spooling & Banding operations.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment following all Safety Policies and Guidelines of Butch’s (BRHAS) and customer’s onsite requirements.
- Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of pre/post trip guidelines.
- Ability to perform in an ethical and professional manner with integrity when representing the Company and Company’s Customer.
- Extensive knowledge of all D.O.T. requirements. Maintain Log Book and communicate hours worked/driven with Supervisor
- Maintain driver qualification and driving records.
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to assist in the field when necessary.
- Required to work on 24 /7 on call basis.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest level of quality
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
- Complies with Company Rules and Regulations
- Ensure Personal Training is Up To Date
- All paperwork, field tickets,etc. turned in, or emailed daily to Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
License and Certifications:
- Valid Class B or A CDL Driver’s License which meets Company policy
Required Skills
- Experience – minimum 6 Months of total Spooling/Banding operations
- Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written instructions and effectively communicate/present information one-on-one or in small group situations.
- Mathematical Skills - Basic Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions & instructions
- Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations.
- Mathematical Skills - Basic Skills – Ability to read measurements and learn key metrics.
- Reasoning Skills - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Required Knowledge
- Preferred knowledge of industry/service line/field equipment
- Must have knowledge of use of basic hand tools and oil field tools
- Must have ability to comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and guidelines for implementation of SOP procedures. guidelines and Company policies.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Must have ability to understand the English language.
- Must have the ability to find job locations in a timely manner
Physical Demands
- This job requires frequent heavy work which is typical of an oilfield job.
- Employee will be exposed to outdoor weather elements, high noise and the potential of chemicals and fumes or gasses.
- Employee will stand or walk 80% of the time and frequently be asked to bend, squat, reach or climb. Work on standard Pulling Unit Rig floor
- Employee must be physically capable of standing and Banding on rig floor for 6-8 hours. Capable of lifting up to 50lbs in a proper and safe manner.
- Employee must be willing to work in a 24/7 environment
- Employee will be exposed to moderate to high noise and the potential of chemicals and fumes or gasses in a shop environment or on location, if necessary.
