Job Overview

Within our facility there are multiple refrigerated coolers, freezers, and a dry storage area. The employee in this position is responsible for pulling orders and loading trucks.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Locate customer order items in the warehouse and pick those items from stock to accurately fill customer orders.

  • Check items picked for accuracy and quality, ensuring correct manufacturer, size, color, style, quantities and defects.

  • Assure accuracy of picked orders.

  • Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment (when certified).

  • Maintain a safe work environment, perform job functions in a safe manner, and follow good housekeeping practices.

 

Physical Requirements/Environment:

  • Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials

  • Requires prolonged standing during work hours

  • Requires stooping, kneeling, bending and reaching

  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing.

  • Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environment

  • Must be able to work in and around fumes and odors

  • Must be able to work in lower temperature environment (35°-45° F)

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Pass pre-employment physical and drug test

  • Basic Math, Computer and Analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the capability to adjust to change and interruptions.
