PRODUCTION PLANNER

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Planner is responsible for setting up the production control booth.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review of the work scope packages and set up the production control booth, working boards by zones and skills for each aircraft as required.
· Assignment and control of the flow and sequence of work on a specific aircraft undergoing maintenance.
· Coordination of the ordering of parts of the Pre-draw and assignment of task cards when the parts are available.
· In collaboration with Project Managers and their Leads, ensure Task Cards issued to Technicians can be worked on and are in line with the plan’s sequence.
· Conducting periodic audits of the technical documents for the respective tasks as the project progresses.
· Confirming the accountability of the completed task cards and other maintenance documentation and ensuring that copies are maintained for the required records file.
· Reproduce and organize technical documents as required in order to safeguard originals and their organization for efficient processing.
· Collaborate with Project Managers and their Leads in setting up the 24-hour board to distribute to Technicians.
· Act with urgency and accuracy to ensure that all daily requirements are fulfilled for all shifts in order to allow efficient workflow.
· Maintain a highly organized work environment.
· Strive for continuous improvement in execution and delivery of work.
· Support the Production Supervisor with other business activities as needed.

Working closely with all other department personnel, this job requires close cooperation with Project Managers, Shift Managers and Leads.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED and OJT. Holds a mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Power plant.
EXPERIENCE: Has had recent production planning experience for at least 3 years. Has had diversified maintenance experience on large aircraft with an Air Carrier, Commercial Operator or Certified Repair Station.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Extensive familiarity with technical procedural and schematic OEM maintenance documentation.
Proficient Computer user with working knowledge of online research and usage of OEM portals.
Good written and oral communication skills in order to effectively interact with all levels of staff from different departments effectively.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a good understanding of where to find relevant information.
