Collins Aerospace, part of Raytheon Technologies (RTX), is on the lookout for an experienced Accounting & Controls Manager to join the team. This position includes responsibility for our Wolverhampton, Banbury and Rockford (Illinois, US) sites and will be predominantly located in Wolverhampton.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting & Controls, you will support Accounting and Controls activity within the Actuation Systems business of Collins Aerospace. Working closely with local finance teams, the role requires a questioning mindset and strong technical skills combined with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation in order to drive best in class internal controls and compliant financial reporting.
You will be part of the wider Actuation Systems Accounting and Controls Team, working alongside colleagues in France, Italy and the US, and also embedded as a core part of the finance leadership team for Actuation UK and Rockford. Key Responsibilities:
Lead compliance efforts with respect to RTX Sarbanes-Oxley and Internal Control for Actuation UK and Rockford, including:
Management of Sarbanes-Oxley gap assessment and testing for the sites
Pro-active identification and management of reportable and non-reportable controls issues
Internal controls/RTX Corporate Policy Subject Matter Expert for the sites, including management and/or review of all other Internal Control related deliverables
Prepare and lead annual Accounting and Control Assessments (ACA) with Collins HQ colleagues
Prepare for RTX Internal Audit reviews, ensure associated actions are closed in a timely manner and all follow up actions are communicated and reviewed
Lead process improvement initiatives to strengthen the control environment, leveraging best practice from other Actuation and Collins sites where appropriate
Oversight of the Actuation UK/Rockford balance sheets, including regular balance sheet reviews and quarterly reporting on key accounting areas
Technical accounting lead for Actuation UK/Rockford sites, providing business support on technical accounting matters and preparing/presenting whitepapers to document
Support to Actuation Systems HQ Accounting and Controls team in oversight of Actuation control environment (including French/Italian sites)
Engage with PwC external audit team on matters of internal controls and technical accounting as required

Technical Skills:
- Degree educated or equivalent
- ACA or equivalent, 1st time passes, Big 4
- Post qualification manufacturing business experience, either directly or via client base
- Experience including Internal Controls/Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley, Technical Accounting (US GAAP an advantage)
