POSITION SUMMARY

The Tool Crib Attendant B is responsible for overall inventory control accuracy, purchasing and receiving, and organization of the tool crib and spare parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Issue tools to CMD as requested by the department.
  • Maintain both physical component inventory and computerized inventory, ensuring accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts and compare to computerized inventory. 
  • Solicit bids from vendors and receive approval.
  • Order parts for maintenance as needed.
  • Prepare RMA's and forward to supervisor for approval.
  • Receive, clean, and inspect tools to be stored or reissued.
  • Prep and sharpen tools as needed to meet specifications/tolerances.
  • Pull product to meet machine requirements as requested by the supervisor or set-up mechanic.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the department.
  • Other misc. duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience:

6 plus months experience in Manufacturing.

Computer Skills:

MS Office skills required. MAS knowledge a plus.

Other Requirements:

Able to take accurate measurements with rulers, calipers and micrometers.
