Title:
Materials Management SpecialistKBR is seeking a Materials Management Specialist that will provide administration, expediting, receiving and tracking of parts and materials, as well as support all purchasing as it relates to on- time delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction of all procured products. This position will be a valuable business partner to the program management teams.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Administering production control, inventory control, shipping, receiving of materials, including the full tracking of end-to-end supply chain requirement.
- Checking parts and materials for damage and verifies quantity, part number, and serial number of shipped items are in accordance with what was procured.
- Recording and preparing status and tracking reports documenting each stage of the end-to-end supply process.
- Providing administrative supplier follow-up and delivery status to meet all purchasing goals and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service support.
- Preparing status of items not received, late to be received, or received.
- Maintaining corrective action log, including tracking activities, investigating discrepancies as instructed by buying personnel and monitoring continued actions electronically and ensuring maintenance of the PO documentation file with regard of status.
- Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performing assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
- Displaying core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Effective communication and collaborative coordination with internal stakeholders as well as suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail and process driven.
- Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft excel
- Experience with ERP, Financial and Accounting system, preferably Deltek Costpoint.
