Professional Ethics. The Operations Manager is the site leader responsible for all production
activities including: Distilling, Warehousing, Processing, Bottling, Shipping, Logistics,
Maintenance and Continuous Improvement Initiatives. As the site leader, this role provides
overall operational direction and consistency to enhance productivity, quality, safety,
environmental and customer service results in a combined production and tourism
environment.

What You Can Expect
● Promotes a shared understanding of organizational values, operating principles, and
cultural change imperatives and work to align guidelines to support the business
goals.
● Develops short and long-term visions for distilling, warehousing, processing, bottling
and site supply chain operations.
● Ensures the efficient utilization of production operations to produce a top-quality
product within the prescribed practices for quality, cost, and safety. Plans, directs, and
ensures controls of all distilling, warehousing, processing, bottling, and shipping at
the facility; ensures all quality, environmental and business objectives are met or
exceeded.
● Plans, directs, and controls operating activities to provide a safe working
environment.
● Ensures adherence to established methods and procedures to assure consistent high
quality product; Ensures compliance with company and government policies and
regulations.
● Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities;
presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
● Accomplishes plant objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results; allocating
resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
● Directly responsible for the operation’s budget, reliability of production, product
quality, governmental compliance, employee health and safety and environmental
impact.
● Develop short and long-term capital plans and major maintenance improvement
projects, establish, and monitor department labor and overhead budgets and
monitor spending.
● Reviews organization and staffing plans to ensure they are consistent and adequate
for attainment of site and Brand objectives.
● Directs the review and evaluation of operating practices and procedures to improve
effectiveness and efficiency of production. Ensures uniform application and
consistency of company policies and procedures and develops good employee
relations.
● Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training,
coaching, counseling, and holding managers accountable; communicating values,
strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and
appraising job results; developing a climate for offering information and opinions;
providing educational opportunities.
● Fosters an environment that is inclusive of everyone while driving accountability at
all levels and valuing the contributions of all employees.
● Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community
organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
● Partner with site Homeplace (visitor/tourism) to help create the best visitor/tour
experience possible, while also meeting production targets/objectives.


What You Bring to the Table
● Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field with 5 years experience in
manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in the spirits industry, leading and
developing people and teams. Equivalent education and experience combinations
will be considered.
● Demonstrated inclusive leadership, leading others, and excellent communication
skills.
● Ability to build and sustain excellent business relationships internally and externally.
● Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.
● Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, continuous
improvement methodologies, and quality, safety and environmental practices.
● Ability to diagnose manufacturing issues and problem solve solutions to increase
operational efficiencies and cost control.
● Proven track record showing efficiency gains in a production environment.


What Makes You Unique
● Master’s Degree (M.A., MBA or Equivalent); Engineering or Business with 8 years
leadership experience in the spirits or beverage industries.
● Working user knowledge of SAP-ERP applications in a manufacturing environment
and understanding of impact of transactions from financial areas.
