Are you passionate about precision manufacturing and operating cutting-edge fabrication equipment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Fabrication Laser Operator at ATACO Steel. As a Fabrication Laser Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process by ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of our advanced TRUMPF laser equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain TRUMPF 5030 lasers, TRUMPF 5-axis lasers, and other fabrication equipment to produce high-quality precision parts.

Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders to set up laser cutting parameters and execute production runs.

Perform routine machine setup, including loading and unloading materials, adjusting tooling, and calibrating equipment for optimal performance.

Monitor production processes and quality control standards to ensure parts meet or exceed specifications.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal working condition.

Collaborate with team members, including programmers and engineers, to optimize production processes and solve technical challenges.

Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including job orders, materials used, and output quantities.

Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and skill development.

 

Qualifications:

 

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or fabrication is a plus.

Previous experience operating TRUMPF lasers or similar fabrication equipment is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and machine control.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical capability to lift and move materials as required.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

     


     


Employment Type: Full-Time

Regular Schedule: 

2nd shift: 2PM - Midnight (Monday - Thursday)

Overtime on Fridays (twice per month) 

Pay: Starting at $18.75 + $ 1.00 attendance bonus + Company Gainshare and Shift Premium for 2nd shift
