JUNIOR ASSOCIATE

In an effort to reinforce the business and the desirability of the Philosophy brand, we seek a Junior Associate to aid on the tactical business development globally. Along with the Fragrance Sr. Manager and Gifting Manager, the Junior Associate will be responsible for all areas of Global Product Marketing with a particular focus on a cross-category brand repackaging initiative and seasonal gifting.

The Junior Associate will put forth innovative and inspiring products that ultimately aid in the growth of the brand as well as be responsible for all touch points during the process of development (Concept Ideation – Packaging Development – Merchandising – Digital/Social – Go-to- Market), working closely with cross functional partners to deliver robust, innovative, on-brand and high-quality launch and activations programs.

The Junior Associate will contribute to the total effectiveness of the brand, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive engaged team member.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Execute plans in a timely manner through the entire life cycle of development including but not limited to concept ideation, packaging development, merchandising, digital/social, and promotional tools.
• Interface with all internal multifunctional teams (ie. Creative, R&D Packaging team, Initiative Management, AW Team, Purchasing, Finance, US Local Market) as well as external vendors (ie. multiple design agencies, mockup vendors, etc.)
• Manage all processes to initiate new projects and development of all support elements, including readiness meetings, product offerings, cost of goods, briefs to cross functional partners, purchase order, etc.
• Conduct category and competitive assessment and identify market trends and consumer insights to hat will help influence strategic business recommendations.
• Provide cross functional partners with appropriate, timely information on projects.
• Help prepare meetings with senior leadership, leading deck creation as well as room set up.

QUALIFICATIONS

We’d love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

• 4-year undergraduate degree.
• Previous marketing experience required.
• Strong Power Point skills.
• Should demonstrate ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be mature, responsible, accountable, and organized as well as exhibit excellence in execution.

Desirable:

• Demonstrate strong sense of creativity, innovation, and intuition.
• Previous experience in the beauty world is a plus, but so is a healthy skepticism for the way beauty brands typically talk about themselves and their products.
