NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.  

 

We are looking for an Industrial Prep & Cases Warehouse Supervisor to be responsible for supporting rail car and truck shipping through the staging and preparation (“prep”) of case goods, drums, and bins with the use of inventory control systems, associated documentation, personnel, and time management. This leader ensures orders are prepped and pre-staged for fulfillment in a timely manner at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Works with Order Picking Supervisor to ensure truck and rail shipments are staged properly, timely and with all required paperwork completed to maximize efficiency of operations.
  • Works closely with Shipping Supervisor to align prioritization of orders and safe and efficient staging of orders in proper locations for prompt loading into rails or trucks.
  • Follows SOPs, policies and procedures to timely and accurately prioritize and prep orders, ensuring that all product meets company policies and customer requests. 
  • Ensures that assigned staff follow standard work process to safely, efficiently, and correctly complete assigned orders.
  • Ensures prepping is ahead of shipping demands to avoid delays, detention charges and customer complaints.

 

Requirements: 

  • Associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, warehouse operations, or a closely related field; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • 3 years’ relevant work experience in the manufacturing or logistics industry, to include 2 years’ experience in prepping and shipping finished goods.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October, and during high shipping periods requiring extra hours and weekend work.


Compensation: 

The salary range is $65,000 - $75,075, based on experience and qualifications.
