Production Scheduling Support

Description: The Production Scheduling Support role is responsible for assisting production schedulers, across several business units, to ensure efficient and timely production processes. This position involves coordinating with Production Schedulers and Scheduling Team Leader in supporting the overall production scheduling workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation: Prepare and distribute work orders, and related documents for production schedulers.
- Data Management: Collect, enter, and maintain accurate production data in the scheduling system. IE, material issuing, correcting system errors.
- Monitor Production Progress: Help track production progress, across business units, against the schedule and report any deviations or delays to the Production Scheduler.
- Audits: Assist with audit preparation when needed across business units.
- Assist in Inventory Counts: Help with cycle counts across business units where needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in production scheduling and workflow efficiency. Focus efforts to work towards continuous improvement of product quality using our ISO 9001 Systems
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in production scheduling, planning, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., ERP systems, MRP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively within a team setting.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
- Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
- Working Conditions
- Environment: Office and manufacturing floor environments. Practice safe work habits and follow procedures, policy and JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
- Hours: Full-time position, with potential for occasional overtime based on needs.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds, and the ability to navigate the production floor.
