Pay Range: $44,000 - $62,000

 

Job Summary:  The Product Development Technician will serve as a key resource within Advanced Development for creating prototypes of new spring / support concepts as well as new mattress and sleep system constructions. This includes everything from ordering and/or making components, assembling prototypes, and testing / evaluating / analyzing test data. This position be a source of knowledge on spring design and mattress construction and will provide support to the other parts of the organization on these topics.

 

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:

  • Build prototypes of new spring and support design concepts
  • Build prototypes of new mattress and foundation design concepts
  • Test prototypes to design requirements and document best practices for specification development
  • Evaluate current product against existing specifications for quality confirmation
  • Use 3-D Modelling to document design changes and revisions
  • Evaluate and test value engineered product iterations
