Pay Rate: $47K Base Salary

SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Representative explains technical product or service information to customers, and answers customer questions about our products and services. He or she provides quotations to customers, submits orders, follows-up on customer requests, and works with other departments to coordinate the sales process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Estimate and quote prices, sales terms, and delivery dates.
  • Use independent judgement to determine competitive pricing based on manufacturing costs, material availability, and other necessary information.
  • Sell and upsell products.
  • Study product information to acquire professional knowledge.
  • Monitor market conditions and trends.
  • Understand SAPS pricing and sales terms.
  • Accurately enter information (i.e. part numbers, bill of material, pricing, delivery, etc.) into business system, monitors orders daily to ensure accurate delivery to customers and follows up when necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with both new and existing customers through efficient and courteous written and verbal communication.
  • Coordinate and document development of internal and external manufacturing processes and maintains and organizes necessary detailed records regarding the progress of projects and deadlines.
  • Participate in weekly meetings
  • Manage and coordinate daily work load.
  • Act as internal logistics expert and problem-solver in support of sales and customer needs.
  • Consistently comply with all safety and ISO quality procedures.
  • Must be able to interact in person with peers and the public.
  • Must be able to handle high stress situations.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or sales role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Some college coursework in a related field.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiar with use of inventory software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
