Head of Strategic Initiatives

The Head of Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for assessing strategic growth initiatives, developing and tracking key performance metrics, and providing support to the President, North America. This position will serve as a strategist, consultant, and implementer on priority projects, playing a pivotal role in driving the organization's long-term growth and success. Demonstrated experience and success in the project management field is essential for this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Assess strategic growth initiatives and assist in planning and developing strategic objectives to support the organization's long-term planning and decision-making processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to market trends, statistics, customer preferences, competitive activities, and the organization's internal capabilities.
  • Provide support to the President, North America as a strategist, consultant, and implementer on priority projects and plans for the Company.
  • Develop and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and continuously assess the progress of the strategic plan.
  • Support and collaborate with the Leadership team to focus on customer insights, sales reporting, and sales analytics capabilities from a Commercial Excellence lens.
  • Support and development the preparation of comprehensive presentations and strategic plans for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Function as a project manager on critical activities to ensure needs and scope are aligned within the organization.
  • Manage executive meetings key points, agreed next steps, timelines, and assignments, and communicates to all involved.

  • Expert level within Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels of GN.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate problems quickly and appropriately.
  • Ability to organize their time, follow-up with the ability to perform job tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrates team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide information as requested and required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business required.
  • Graduate level education preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the area(s) of project management and/or management consulting experience.

Travel

  • 0% - 20%

This position is not eligible for remote-only or offering relocation assistance. Candidates must be able to work onsite (hybrid) 3 days per week.

Working Environment:

Open office environment, located near a manufacturing facility and home office.
