The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for assisting the Department Managers with the successful operation of the company’s Bleaching, Finishing, and Cut & Sew Facility in Union, SC.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform all shipping and receiving functions

  • Maintain and track inventory levels

  • Maintain all receiving and shipping documents as required.

  • Learn and effectively utilize the JD Edwards based WMS and RF scanning systems to ensure that all shipping, receiving, and material handling functions are accurate at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with manager, subordinates, and customers to ensure that all service and quality standards are met.

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and motivated work environment.

  • Be licensed on all operational equipment, such as forklifts and tuggers.

  • Assist in providing an environment for continuous improvement to achieve world-class service. This includes maintaining a clean and organized workspace on the floor, as well as in the shipping/receiving office.

  • Follow policies, procedures, and work instructions for distribution functions including inventory control practices, documentation of receipts, storage and shipments, cycle counting, and quality control in conjunction with Carolina Distribution Center operations.

  • Ad hoc duties will be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications Include:

  • EDUCATION:

    • Required: HS Diploma or equivalent

    • Preferred: BS or BA in Management or a related field

  • EXPERIENCE:

    • Required: 2 years of professional working experience

    • Preferred: 2 years of supervisory or lead role experience in a distribution or manufacturing facility

  • SKILLS:

    • Required: Good communication skills, computer knowledge (MS Office & WMS), ability to operate forklifts/tuggers, & familiarity with RF scanners.

    • Preferred: Current CDL

    • Required: Standing, walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, bending, stooping, visual inspection, lifting up to 50 pounds, basic machine operation and troubleshooting, ability to work independently or in a team setting, ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
