Sanitation Supervisor

The Sanitation Supervisor is primarily responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior areas of the premises and ensures the high standards of health, disinfection, and sanitation guidelines for the coffee plant are maintained. The incumbent in this role coordinates assignment and duties, trains and develops Sanitation team members, exams work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to specifications.
This position will report to the Sanitation Manager.
Principal Job Duties:
- Train and educate sanitation personnel in safety practices, GMPs, test methods, chemical usage, and procedures related to sanitation.
- Performs testing of chemicals used in sanitation, as needed.
- Responsible for temporarily covering a shift in the absence of a shift sanitarian.
- Manage the receiving and inventory control of sanitation supplies
- Use approved chemicals to clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces in the restrooms, breakrooms and the Plant's production lines.
- Ensure all interior and exterior waste containers are emptied and serviced during assigned shift.
- Dust mop or wet mop to maintain the walkways and remove spider webbing in the corners of the rooms.
- Refill soap dispensers and paper towels in restrooms and breakrooms.
- Empty and sanitize waste and sanitary receptacles.
- Ensure building ventilations louvers are free from dust.
- Keep work areas up to GMP Standards.
- Keep track of sanitation inventory and organize the sanitation storage cage.
- Responsible for immediately reporting any potential issues with food safety, contamination, or building maintenance.
- Clean and maintain interior and exterior windows.
- Accurately maintain records of all work performed.
- Follow all required work safety procedures to include wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and tools are maintained and in good working order.
- Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed.
- Inspecting the manufacturing process to determine sanitation protocols.
- Designing and implementing sanitation policies and protocols.
- Coordinating and monitoring cleaning schedules.
- Creating and distributing work schedules for the sanitation workers.
- Performing daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and reporting any irregularities.
- Implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
- Providing feedback to company managers and advising on manufacturing changes.
- Monitoring the preparation and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Training sanitation workers and organizing refresher workshops for existing staff.
- Coordinating the services of contractors and external cleaning crews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
