SUMMARY OF DUTIES:  Responsible for independently administering, coordinating, and implementing all company recruitment, selection and retention programs designed to decrease turnover and increase the availability of qualified applicants who meet the Company’s operating needs.  Effective execution of this job requires the capacity and expertise to forecast, research, develop relationships, promote the Company, implement training, and to interview and track employee placement, movement, and certification.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.   Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the function of the Recruiting Coordinator, may be assigned or modified and are incorporated into this job description. 

  • Primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance and is directly related to the management and general business operations of the Company and its customers;
  • Responsible to seek out ways to locate and attract qualified applicants for open positions through social media, internet sites, job fairs or other avenues available;
  • Responsible for coordinating sourcing processes, screenings and managing the applicants via the applicant tracking system, scheduling, and assisting in interviews, processing of new hires including scheduling or conducting pre-employment screens and verifying employment eligibility; 
  • Responsible for completing background checks and assist in employment verification; assist in entering information relative to new hires in the Company’s respective database(s); employee file to be provided to Benefits Coordinator for completion; 
  • Schedule and conduct new hire orientation upon hire dates to ensure that employees are educated on company polices with an in-depth review of the Attendance Policy; begin the process of promoting the Company; provide training related to HRIS portal and assure that employee is registered in order that they have access; 
  • Responsible for providing a daily staffing report to management on primary assigned Operations Department(s) and/or any other assigned Departments; 
  • Assist in ensuring that Managers are properly implementing the Planning and Evaluations of employees; 
  • Responsible for participating in the Innovation Team that implements the “Bring It” initiative; work with Department Managers to create employee retention programs consisting of monthly activities and goals; 
  • When accessible, perform exit interviews for employee terminations and resignations to determine improvements to be implemented by the Company; 
  • Responsible for maintaining proficiency with current computer technology and all hardware and software in order to effectively perform all duties and responsibilities as assigned in this job description

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: 


This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Hours listed are general hours and may be altered as needed.  Additional hours may be required to fulfill job duties and position expectations.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This position will assist Managers and Supervisors in the hiring process as well as with training and retention programs.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

The physical demands of this job include light physical activity performing sometimes repetitive activities of an administrative, productive and/or technical nature that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  To perform the functions of this job the employee must regularly sit, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee must occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and reach with hands or arms.  The employee will regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
