Business Unit: NA Aerospace POSITION SUMMARY |
The Aerospace Engineering Manager-Americas leads and directs technical resources in the design, development, and implementation of customer programs to support Web’s dominance in Aerospace Composites and Space Launch/Satellite systems. This requires building an effective engineering team and infrastructure that will scale for growth and enable Web to meet revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and key performance goals. |
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: |

Leads dispersed engineering team efforts in the following areas: - Establishing and maintaining engineering policies, procedures, and other documentation as appropriate.
- Follow the Web Way Sales Process to help win new business and programs:
- Develop winning solutions and proposals in collaboration with sales.
- Provide cost models that allow the sales organization to confidently price new business.
- Provide technical sales support.
- Collaborate with customers, Web supply chain management, and suppliers to identify and specify appropriate materials.
- Collaborating with Web Industries’ compliance organization to ensure QMS compliance.
- Coordinating the design and validation of new equipment, product, software, and processes.
- Leading activities for creation of engineering studies, product specifications, quality plans, manufacturing methods, work instructions, risk assessments, and other documentation.
- Ensure the efficient and effective release of new programs to manufacturing.
Supervise, communicate, coach, mentor, and motivate engineers and technicians around requirements, duties, vision, values, safety, and strategy. |

Project Management: - Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of engineering activities. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences to inform management of current status of each project

Administration: - Recommends budgets to management, including staff use, technology, facility and equipment requirements or improvements. Working with the purchasing, operations and quality manager, reviews and monitors quality and process improvements and new product development.
- Environmental, Health and Safety – maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal code and regulations.
- Budget & Capital Planning - Provides information to support capital approvals as well as annual budget planning. Monitors expenditures, identifies variances, and implements corrective actions as necessary.

Travel for customer visits, industry events, supplier interaction, site leadership and additional team needs: ±40% Performs other functions or responsibilities as assigned. |

Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills: | |
1. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering / technical discipline. Relevant equivalent work experience will be considered. | 2. Minimum of 10 years in related work experience with demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of engineers or other technical staff. | 3. Leadership Skills- - Models humility
