Ocala specializes in both low volume - high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing.

As a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. We are seeking talented engineers to join our team to help develop many best-in-class products and solutions in our Missiles & Fire Control Business Area at our Ocala, FL.

Job Duties Include:
•Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
•Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to moderately complex.
•Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments.
•Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment , identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
•Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.
•Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.
•Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
•Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university or equivalent experience/combined education

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Previous Engineering experience.

• This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired skills
• STEM Bachelors degree highly preferred.

• Strong communication skills (both oral and written).

• Ability to work independently and as a team player.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

• ISO-9001/AS9100 knowledge.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques
Green Belt Certification

• J-STD-001/IPC-A-610/IPC-WHMA-620
familiarization

• CCA/ECA experience, Cable/Harness experience, Corrective Action process, MRB experience, Military/Aerospace specs.

• Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action.

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $90,200 - $170,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
