Senior Analyst – Proposal and Documentation Analyst | Avionics Procurement

The Avionics Proposal and Documentation (AVP&D) Team provides specialized support to our Procurement organization, engaging in pursuit of billions of dollars in new business for Collins Aerospace and partnering with our Procurement Buyers to ensure compliant documentation prior to procuring goods and services. This team develops its members to be experts within the Bid & Proposal and Procurement Documentation worlds. We support a wide variety of exciting platforms, from Stormbreaker Smart Weapons and E-2D Training Systems to ACES Ejection Seats and KC-46 Tankers.

While the AVP&D Team resides within Avionics Procurement, the exposure provided to our team members includes our expansive Supply Base as well as many areas of Collins Aerospace: Cost Estimating / Finance, Compliance, Global Trade, Engineering, Program, Sourcing, among others. This role will initially provide crucial support to two main areas: IS&S Service and Repair bid activities and Import Assist Procurement compliance. Additional opportunities will be made available within the team as may become necessary or as desired for growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide focused support within the highly specialized Proposal & Documentation Team, to include both Procurement Documentation (PDS) and Bid & Proposal (B&P) activities
  • Support Service & Repair bid activities through a sourcing history review and strategic solicitation of the supply base for budgetary pricing
  • Lead the Import Assist documentation process through analysis of SAP and Dossier data, review of Buyer and Supplier documents, and timely communication of non-compliance to avoid US government penalty
  • Prepare US government case file documentation for the Procurement Organization per policies, procedures, FAR and DFARS
  • Engage with numerous functional areas to support these activities, such as the Supply Chain Organization, Global Trade, Engineering, Program, and Pricing / Cost Estimating
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal customers and supplier contacts through professional communications and quick attention to issue resolution
  • Collaborate with teammates to review standard work for ongoing process improvement
  • Balance management of shared workflow and individual tasks

  • Customer focused, both internally and externally to Collins Aerospace
  • Has excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experienced in proposal process or Government documentation and/or Procurement
  • Experience using SAP and Ariba
  • Passion for process improvement and understanding of CORE

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
