Shift: 1st shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

While reporting directly to the HST Supervisor, the following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role within the tooling department. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Cutting, preparing, and deburring raw material
• Plate saw operation
• Routine saw maintenance including but not limited to calibration, greasing, blade changes, chip eradication, etc.
• Extensive material handling with forklifts, vacuum lifts, material transport carts, and other lifting devices
• Inspection and quality control of work using measuring devices
• Receive, verify, and unload raw material deliveries
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Maintain raw material inventory and coordinate reordering needs
• Train other operators or supervisors as needed
• Create work instructions or standard operating procedures as needed

We’d love to hear from you if:

• You have your High School or equivalent, vocational or journeyman+ preferred
• You can read/write and follow verbal and written instructions
• You can read, understand and work from blueprints, sketches, and work orders
• You have fundamental skills as machinist in metal fabrication, tool making, and mold construction
• You have understanding of tolerances and precision measuring
• You have basic computer experiences with file processing, email, Web navigation, and MS office
• You have a working knowledge of shop math and general hand tools
• You can perform all tasks in a safety-conscious manner
• You can operator industrial truck
