Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager at the Oak Ridge site is responsible for ensuring the highest-quality products for our customers, maintaining ISO-9001 certification, driving a quality culture, improving internal processes, and using data-based metrics to drive decision making.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ISO 9001-2015 certification and ensure operations remain on track to continue with favorable audits and re-certifications.
  • Develop data streams and metrics to monitor system outputs to drive informed decision-making
  • Lead the Quality Team and direct day-to-day duties and set priorities for improvement and problem-solving
  • Develop and maintain a robust Internal Audit system to maintain QMS compliance and improvement
  • Identify Corrective Actions and drive timely closure using industry-recognized (RCCA) tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive down defects and improve process efficiency
  • Identify and make recommendations for ways to continually improve our processes, tools, and materials to enhance our business in the areas of efficiency, cost savings, quality, safety, and/or customer experience.
  • Work with purchasing, engineering and quality to ensure quality parts and processes from external suppliers
  • Draft and update policies and procedures as organization evolves
  • Conduct training as needed to the organization as needed
  • Maintain document control system to ensure access to latest versions of policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years leadership of a Quality Organization, required.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive, curious, self-starter, and always interested in learning
  • Clear communicator with demonstrated effective problem-solving skills
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in technical field (Engineering, Science, or related field) or 3 – 5 years equivalent work experience in Quality role, required.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in the CBRNE industry a plus
  • Proficient use of MS Office products – especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP (or similar MRP software) in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Must be available to travel approximately 1 – 4 business trips per year
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
