Job Description:
The Office of the Registrar is seeking applicants for a Registrar Specialist II position to join a collaborative and innovative team in the Office of the Registrar. The successful candidate will join the Registration team within the Office of the Registrar and report to the Assistant Registrar.
About the role:
- This position will be responsible for accuracy, maintenance, certification, and processing of student registrations.
- Understands and adheres to all university, state, and federal policies and procedures regarding the recording, retention, destruction, and release of academic records.
- Follows university policies to enroll students and assist in their progress toward degree as measured by successful course registration and maintenance of academic status.
- Assists with documenting and communicating procedures for new and updated policies affecting student registration.
- Advises students, staff, faculty, and others regarding established and/or new or modified policies and procedures.
- Assists in data validation and testing of Student Information Systems.
- Assist with the lineup of student graduates for the University Commencement Ceremonies.
- Reviews course and class additions and changes submitted by colleges and schools.
- Analyzes problems related to enrollment and grading and updates course and class data appropriately.
- Assists with academic documents such as official transcripts, certifications of degree and enrollment, course descriptions, and other related materials that support students' admissions applications, financial support, loan deferment, immigration and naturalization documents, employment, and licensing.

Additional information:
- Office hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday, with flexible hours between 7:30am – 5:30pm.
- University Work Flex options will be available after an appropriate training period.
- Evening and weekend hours required for the University Commencement Ceremony each fall and spring semester.
