The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the F/A-18 Service Life Modification (SLM) team in San Antonio, TX.
The F/A-18 Service Life Modification (SLM) team in San Antonio, TX is currently experiencing rapid growth, with new capability incorporation into the modification line and a substantial increase of aircraft inductions over the next several years. The selected candidate will be a key addition to the SLM Program Office and will lead important elements of the program to include the Standard Repair Manual (SRM) and the Service Life Assessment Program (SLAP) and Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) efforts. The position will also play a key role as the program leader for Lean implementation across multiple modification sites. The ideal candidate has experience in project management, demonstrates business acumen, and can effectively lead and/or influence cross-functional teams to deliver on commitments.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.
Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.
Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge, and experience.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Level Product Review Engineers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
2+ years of experience in Engineering
2+ years of experience with 3D modeling, 2D drawings and drawing packages
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Material Review Board (MRB) Engineering experience with Aircraft Modification and Repair
Aptitude for hands-on type work.
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:

Summary pay range for Experienced level: $90,100- $121,900
