Wardrobe Seamer (Part-Time) – Gold Strike

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fit, alter, and repair uniforms within clean precise guidelines
• Familiar with cutting all types of fabric and pattern making and care for all varieties of fabrics.
• Perform many types of hand sewing and work with curved needles, adhesives, and other specific supplies.
• Sew on all fabrics including stretch fabrics, vinyl, and leather.
• Determine if the uniform has met its “life span” and report to Supervisor.
• Adhere to all Health Department, OSHA, sanitation, and safety regulations including chemical usage for spotting.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
PREFERRED:
• Five (5) years of previous experience in the sewing field.
• Experience with high-quality uniforms made from a variety of fabrics.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to operate industrial straight stitch, zig-zag, overlock machines, and embroidery machines where applicable.
• Ability to operate sewing machines, steamers, and irons.
• Knowledgeable with fabric care on all varieties of fabrics and cutting all types of fabrics and pattern making.
• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
