Technical Training Manager

What you'll do:
- Develop and implement learning and development strategies to ensure our employees have the skills they need to effectively perform their jobs and build our skilled trades pipeline
- Partner with technical schools or other organizations to build additional programs that will support our skilled trades development
- Identifying training needs by conducting skills gap analyses and partnering with the business to understand training needs
- Managing technical training programs for various skill levels to ensure the most efficient delivery to reach as many employees as possible
- Ensure technical training programs are streamlined and consistent
- Manage hourly new hire training program
- Manage e-learning platforms and ensure learning is being tracked in the LMS system
- Resolve specific problems and tailor training programs accordingly.
- Oversight of internal technical trainers
- Oversight of technical training budget
Basic Requirements:
- Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor Degree in Communications, Education, or a related training field.
- 10+ years training experience with focus on frontline training or technical skills development
- Proven experience managing training programs
- Expertise in developing technical course content
- Understanding of adult learning theories
- Familiarity with web-based learning platforms and LMS systems
- Demonstrated ability to assess organizational challenges related to skills gaps and training needs and creating strategies to address these needs
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical terms in simple language at all levels of the organization
- Positive and proactive attitude with ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
- Able to travel approximately 25 percent; domestic and international.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

- Salary range for this position is $100,000 to $113,000 as well as an annual bonus plan
