About the Role:

As an Operations Controller at Cascade Die Casting Group, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the CFO, you will collaborate with General Managers and cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and track financial results for manufacturing operations
  • Investigate and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Support GMs in analyzing and understanding financial results
  • Ongoing consultation with GMs to improve financial results and meet operational metrics
  • Customer pricing and profitability analysis
  • Track and analyze costs, payments, and timing related to major projects (capital, tooling, etc.)
  • Participate/cross-train with other accounting and finance staff in month-end and year-end financial responsibilities
  • Coordinate external financial statement and 401k audit and tax engagements
  • Ad hoc projects and requests from GMs and Executive Team
  • Travel semi-monthly or at least quarterly to North Carolina Division.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with divisional team members.
  • Independently and actively engage with divisional staff to meet their financial support requirements.
  • Comply with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs.
  • Perform duties in compliance with quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Build positive relationships and work cooperatively with associates in a team environment.
  • Model and exemplify Companies Core Values.
  • Works required schedule based on business demands.
  • Other duties as assigned from time-to-time. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA/CMA and/or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience (in manufacturing or operations preferred)
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience leading and managing others
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or business intelligence software tools
  • Comfortable with change management

Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods, occasionally walk and stand for prolonged periods, lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and work in a loud manufacturing environment. Proficiency in manual dexterity, effective communication skills, clear vision, and the ability to detect and respond to safety instructions and alarms. Wear personal protective equipment as required on the plant floor.

Pay Range and Benefits:

Starting Pay Range: $90,000-$120,000
Compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
