We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager Global Procurement who will be responsible for driving value for the organization and ensuring effective performance of procurement processes and stakeholders. This Manager will take a leading role in advancing Global procurement as a member of the Global Strategic Procurement Leadership Team while driving results and reporting to supply chain and cross-functional executive leadership. Reporting to the Director, Global Procurement this role is located in Indianapolis and is hybrid.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a global, cross-functional procurement strategies while leading a global team of commodity managers responsible for all of our global sites and total direct material spend including low volume/high mix and high volume/low mix environments
- Inspiring and leading a procurement team (7 Commodity Managers), providing guidance, personnel development, and support
- Leading a global cross-functional team to achieve direct cost savings objectives to improve company operational margin expansion, through negotiation, engineering transition, working capital improvement, and global supply base risk mitigation.
- Driving collaboration and continuous improvement utilizing Danaher Business System and Kaizens to persistently improve cross-functional direct procurement processes.
- Improve Working capital position through optimizing DMS implementation and lean concepts both internally and with the impacted supply base.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop negotiation strategies and providing direct support for high-value negotiations
The required qualifications for the job include:
- Bachelor's degree with 14 years' experience or Masters with 12 years' experience, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain or related discipline, including 4+ years in a leadership position with a proven track record of successfully building, leading and influencing global teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop, sell and implement a global, organization-wide procurement strategies, and ability to manage change, fostering an environment of trust, growth and development
- Proven track record of driving results through influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization, promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management via excellent negotiation, influence, and contract management skills to encourage collaboration and positive outcomes
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make fact-based decisions by incorporating diverse feedback from a variety of stakeholders
- Strong communication, financial acumen, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Managing Low Volume High Mix environment.
- Financial acumen and Oracle ERP
- Engineering Background
- Lean and Kanban Material systems
