In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality. As a detail-oriented and hands-on professional, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing our production processes.

To be successful in this position, you will need a minimum of 2 years of experience in assembly or installation operations, exceptional manual dexterity, and stamina. Hands-on experience with test equipment is essential, and the role requires national and international travel to support our customers’ needs. Excellent problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are also essential.

What You Will Do:

• Install Aircraft Suites and Components: Assemble and install aircraft suites and components on the flightline, working outdoors in various weather conditions and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure all aerospace products meet the highest standards of quality through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure precise and accurate assembly operations, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Identify and solve problems that arise during assembly, utilizing your expertise to ensure seamless operations and high-quality outcomes.
• Utilize Advanced Processes: Employ aerospace engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing processes to maintain and enhance product quality.
• Meet Deadlines: Contribute effectively in a team environment to meet project goals and deadlines, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Adhere to Safety Procedures: Follow all safety procedures and company regulations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Inspect and Test Products: Conduct inspections and tests on completed products to ensure they meet specified requirements and maintain high standards.
• Suggest Improvements: Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall operations.
• Provide Technical Support: Perform technical support activities, including aircraft product rework, installation support, and supplier modification changes/upgrades.
• Perform Physically Demanding Tasks: Engage in physically demanding tasks such as walking or standing for extended periods (8 hours minimum) and lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
• Work in Tight Spaces: Maneuver in tight spaces by stooping, bending, and crawling as required.
• Utilize Specialized Tools: Use common aerospace assembly tools, such as torque wrenches, to perform tasks with precision and accuracy.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
• Available to travel national and international with short notice.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Exceptional Time Management and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Demonstrated experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting, Word for documentation, and Outlook for communication and scheduling.
• Hands-on Experience with Power Tools: Skilled in the safe and effective use of power tools for wood and metal working, with a track record of successful projects.
• In-depth Knowledge of Manufacturing and Fabrication Equipment: Extensive experience working in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to operate and maintain fabrication equipment.

• Expertise in Troubleshooting and Repair: Strong background in diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment, with a history of improving operational efficiency and reducing downtime.

The salary range for this role is 36,000 USD - 72,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
