Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to work on a large Rail and Transit project in the Philadelphia area.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Applicant shall be qualified or equivalent NICET inspector with experience as a safety coordinator.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in managing field activities for major capital infrastructure projects and three (3) years' experience in projects of similar nature.
- Will require a basic understanding of basic field Safety Operating Environments.
- Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries.
- Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by contract.
- Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
- Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans.
- Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution.
- Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.
- Provides technical guidance and delegates responsibilities as appropriate to lower-level inspectors.
- Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Good Oral and Written communication abilities, will be responsible for Daily and other Reports.
- Amtrak experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand CPM Schedules
- Have a basic understanding of the Appliable Building Codes.
- Software skills should include:
- MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Bluebeam
- ProCore
- Adobe Acrobat
