Our Forecast team is currently looking for a Junior Forecast Analyst to join us. This role involves assisting in gathering business analytics and recommending demand plans to analysts by tracking and analyzing data using existing reports and our John Gault demand planning tool. You'll play a key role in data analysis, collaboration, reporting, and administrative support to ensure our Supply Chain planning benefits from accurate and dependable forecasts, guiding crucial business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare analytics and maintain and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports in addition to ad hoc reporting.
- Coordinate recommended forecast/demand plans and review with other forecasting members.
- Research historical data to understand key sales drivers and identify opportunities within the business.
- Review existing forecast models and prepare recommendations where opportunity exists.
- Partner with other forecasters to review sales team updated forecasts.
- Review new business opportunity data with balance of forecasting team.
- Maintain forecasting procedures to ensure forecasts are developed on a rolling 12-month basis.
- Gather and compile data from various sources and demand software (John Gault) to assist in creating accurate forecasts.
- Prepare and distribute regular forecast reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Create visual representations of data to aid in the interpretation of forecast results.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all forecasting-related documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes and methods.
- Stay updated on new software features and enhancements to improve forecasting efficiency.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related degree preferred but not required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with an ERP system preferred
- Prior experience in a forecasting/demand planning department a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to function in a team environment & work independently
