Position Summary

While working as a Social Media Content Intern, you will support the marketing team by creating, managing, and optimizing content across various social media platforms. This position offers hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and analytics. The intern will work closely with the Social Media Manager and other team members to enhance our brand’s online presence and engage with our audience.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and design engaging content (posts, stories, videos) for various social media platforms 
  • Assist in the scripting, writing, shooting, and editing of marketing videos
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent content across all platforms
  • Write, edit, and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance 
  • Other duties as assigned


Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed.

Education and/or Experience

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.

Computer Skills

  • Performing this job successfully requires that an individual have a solid understanding of computers, data entry, internet searches, the Microsoft Office suite and email applications.   

Other Qualifications 

  • Ability to write effective correspondence to customers and coworkers 
  • Ability to pass a background check 
  • Vision abilities required by this job include being able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, distinguish colors, and adjust focus. Mathematical abilities required by this job include reading a ruler, calculating simple costs, and other basic mathematical skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Work environment 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, consisting of telephones, computers, and printers operating.
