Description

Position Summary: The Quotes Accountant is responsible for creating insightful special project quotations evaluating cost, overhead and market trends with a goal of closing as many opportunities as possible.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support in managing product pricing and related tools
• Assist with maintaining product configurations in CPQ database
• Generate reports on quote & pricing trends
• Continuously improve CPQ processes and quoting workflows
• Respond to quote requests
  • Manage quotes through creation, analysis and approval process, engaging Sales, Finance, Engineering and others as needed
  • Review project take-offs, cross requests, fixture schedules, quote requests and other documentation to prepare and send customers quotes and part numbers as needed,
  • Engage with customers and regional sales staff and others to maximize likelihood of winning job
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor offerings

• Enjoys digging into costs and thinking creatively about how to best solve complicated situations.
• Effective organizational skills with ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Independently able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in ambiguous situations
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline
• Customer-facing sales or service experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Salesforce CRM
• Microsoft Office Suite expertise
• Lighting industry experience will be considered a plus.
