Job Title: Parts and Service Mechanic TX

Reports To: Area Manager

Job Summary:

Flogistix, LP seeks an experienced shop technician with experience disassembling and rebuilding screw compressors like Quincy and LeRoi. Mechanical experience working on General Motors 4.3L 5.7L Engines and Cummins experience helpful as well as coursework pertaining to this field. Candidate will work independently as well as with a team and will need strong customer service and communication skills. The Parts and Service Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of the equipment. Candidate must have a high attention to detail and manual dexterity and must follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all Flogistix safety procedures

• Build and assemble equipment or mechanical components according to requirements

• Inspect equipment, engines, natural gas compression units, other equipment, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues

• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner

• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems

• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components

• Replenish fluids and components of engines and equipment

• Keep logs of work and report on issues

• Maintain a clean work environment

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug changes, and, preferably, tuning CNG engines

• Ability to perform complex repairs related to the CNG fuel system, vehicle systems, and, preferably, engine components

• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest developments in compression technology

• Undertake other duties as assigned

• This is a safety sensitive position

Qualifications

Requirements: Education:

• High school diploma/GED required

• Must have a valid driver’s license

Experience:

• Familiarity with various natural gas compression units

Skills:

• Must know how to weld

• Basic knowledge multimeter use in order to diagnose various electrical issues

• Basic computer knowledge and, preferably, experience with automation controls

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose functionality issues

• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to deliver results in dynamic and fast paced environments

• Commitment to ongoing learning and ability to adapt to new technology, AI familiarity a plus

• Must be reliable and dependable, work all shifts and arrive on time

• Must be a responsible and safe driver and adhere to all Flogistix safety procedures

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in General Motors 4.3L and 5.7L Engines; Cummins 8.3 and 855 engine experience is a plus

• 2 years’ experience in reciprocating or screw compression

• Courses related to field such as diesel or automotive tech

Working Conditions:

• Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, kneel, stoop, use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Occasionally required to climb or balance

• Ability to work outdoors

• This is a safety sensitive position

• Must pass and comply with all DOT regulations
