Principal Accountabilities

  • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility while working in a fast-paced environment around raw meat
  • Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc
  • Documenting completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
  • Utilizing and working with maintenance trades and components such as industrial electrical/automation, industrial millwright work, and industrial plumbing, along with completing various building/grounds work
  • Working with automated packaging equipment and conveyor systems
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions in a warm or cool environment, as well as slippery surfaces at varied heights
  • Standing for long periods of time, the use of stairs and ladders, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas of the facility
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Able to perform physical tasks (kneeling, bending, climbing), work in elevated areas (4ft and above) and able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to use tools and work on mechanical and pneumatic components.
  • Must be able to learn and use SAP to document work hours, search for parts, and generate work orders
  • Perform advanced preventative maintenance (PM’s) on plant equipment
  • Minimum of 1 year maintenance with proven preventative maintenance (PM’s) experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Able to perform basic computer skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical power, control systems, and control powers
  • Use measuring devices accurately (metric and standard). Use multimeters, megohmmeters, and any other test equipment needed to aid in troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Minimum of 2 year maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Ability to perform basic tig welding
  • Has 5 years of welding in food manufacturing process
  • Experience with stainless steel, stainless steel 304, sanitary, and steel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years previous maintenance experience
  • Work history in the past 12 months
  • Able to operate forklift and other motorized equipment
  • Program PLC’s using schematics and ladder logic
  • Completed industrial maintenance certification program
