Position Summary
Samsung is looking for a finance professional to join the North America Services Business division. We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter with strong analytical skills and business acumen. This role will support all faucets of financial management with focus on driving results, financial controllership and operational excellence for the division.Role and Responsibilities
- Support annual business planning, monthly financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Track and manage overall R&D budget to ensure financial controllership and meeting departmental target
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports on revenues, expenses, and other operating metrics.
- Support month-end closing activities.
- Managed the R&D Services (Infrastructure) with transfer pricing and consulted to determine a reasonable markup. Costs include hosting services, Product & Engineer specific software tools and
- Understand Cost Tracking, Cost Allocation, and Intercompany Billing for AWS, Snowflake, and IT security tools relating to infrastructure.
- Manage and forecast DSP Platform service Manage and procedures around the execution of media cost (Media spend, data fees, ad serving fees, and server-side ad insertion fees) such as month-end revenue and cost estimates, actual revenue and cost calculation, and Global allocations
- Monitor, track, and provide Vendor recharges (SSAIs, Software license) on various financial and operating performance indicators, highlighting trends and reasons for variance or causes of changes, and prepare reports and presentations to help guide strategic directions and provide recommendations.
- Create and maintain financial models to drive insights and produce actionable recommendations for Cost tracking, license usage tracking, cross-check data accuracy, and intercompany billing.
- Support business teams navigate through various internal policies and processes on budget execution.
- Perform ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned to financial management
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Related Field
- 4+ years of relevant experiences in accounting, FP&A or similar position
- Previous experience in the tech industry, content & services or digital ads business a plus

- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects while meeting competing deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications
- Ability to independently and as team member achieve individual as well as common goals
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels within and outside of the company
- Exceptional analytical skill with a passion for data and understanding key metrics, and the ability to apply the learnings to influence decision making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced excel skills required
- Self-starter with a positive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Bilingual preferred - English and Korean
Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA, is expected to be between $100,000 ~ $125,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
