Production Planner / Scheduler

Davis Tool, Inc., a Hillsboro manufacturing company supporting the Aerospace, Medical, and Semiconductor industries, has an immediate opening for a Production Planner / Scheduler. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for setting, maintaining, and communicating the schedule in the shop.

Monday - Friday workweek:

Day Shift - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Run effective meetings

  • Review bottleneck work centers daily and report out problems to stakeholders

  • Plan assembly kits to ensure assemblies are manufactured to meet customer demand

  • Communicate schedule changes

  • Communicate and interact with all levels of the organization

  • Use in house MRP software to run reports and make decisions

  • Use spreadsheets to track projects and communicate status

  • Communicate with leaders and peers about problems and possible solutions

  • Work with other departments to plan and track job expedites

  • Identify capacity constraints and manage schedule adjustments


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment and using MRP/ERP

  • Leadership experience including supervising, teaching and training others

  • Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills

  • Strong mechanical, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain and Logistics, or similar field

  • Experience working from bills of materials to make schedule decisions

  • Good attention to detail, reading, writing, computer, and arithmetic skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple priorities appropriately

  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Kanban, and Just-in-time manufacturing
