Job Summary:
Synopsys is looking for a Sr. Staff Financial Analyst to join the Corporate FP&A team responsible for complete P&L planning and analysis in the US. The Corporate FP&A team offers a unique opportunity to help guide the company’s financial future. You will develop an extensive knowledge of Synopsys’ overall business and will work with large-scale data to develop deep insights that shape the thinking of senior leaders and our cross-functional partners. You will gain exposure to various business segments' business operations in Synopsys, Financial statement analysis, M&A activities, competitive & peer analysis, and Strategic business partnerships. This is a highly visible role and will be responsible for a variety of analytical, strategic, and process-oriented core FP&A functions.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in monthly and quarterly forecasting and management reporting, ensuring a high degree of quality, timeliness, and accuracy, as well as highlighting key business insights.
- Responsible for Company-wide Stock-based compensation and Share Count forecasting.
- Collaborate within FP&A, HR, and accounting team to gather information for forecasting and reporting.
- Own the LRP financial model (P&L, Cash Flow, and Equity) and maintain it with the latest strategic updates.
- Support Corporate FP&A's periodic reporting and analysis process over headcount, expenses, and margins, presenting results and insights regarding risks and opportunities, as well as informed narratives that explain 'why' and assessing implications to corporate-level finance goals and strategies.
- Provide analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making support for ad-hoc and special projects.
- Provide support for Investor Relations and Earnings Call preparation.
- Be a subject matter expert across key financial data and metrics, with the ability to synthesize inputs and connect insights, and partner cross-functionally to deliver desired results.
- Continue to expand knowledge and technical skills to be able to independently modify and improve forecast model capabilities.
- Support and adopt the digitization and optimization efforts for planning and forecasting processes in partnership with the broader FP&A team.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree in fields such as Business, Finance, economics, statistics, or related analytical fields; MBA is preferred, but not required.
- 7-10 years of Finance experience with a keen understanding of core FP&A processes (experience in Technology company or management consulting or investment banking preferred)
- Working knowledge of GAAP and non-GAAP financial metrics is a must.
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, and related analysis.
- Strong background with advanced computer skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with financial systems such as SAP BPC, SAP BW, Anaplan, or equivalent.
Location:
The Corporate FP&A team is based in our headquarters located in Sunnyvale (Bay Area, California). Due to the nature of this role, 3-4 days per week of in-person presence is expected.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $112,000-$168,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
