Job Description
Bridging North America (BNA), a partnership of Fluor, ACS Infrastructure Canada and Aecon Group Inc., is seeking a summer intern candidate for the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.

BNA was selected to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the CAD$5.7 billion (approximate US$4.4 billion) Gordie Howe International Bridge project for Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA).

When completed, the bridge will be the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America. The project includes a bridge and border crossing spanning the Detroit River and connecting Detroit, Michigan, U.S., and Windsor, Ontario, Canada, by linking Interstate 75 and Interstate 96 in Michigan with the new extension of Highway 401 (Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway) in Ontario. The scope also includes building new, state-of-the-art ports of entry on both the U.S. and Canadian sides of the Detroit River as well as improvements to existing infrastructure in both Michigan and Ontario.

This is an entry-level position designed to develop knowledge and abilities about supplier quality surveillance. The purpose of this position is to work on routine assigned tasks which are tactical and administrative in nature by assisting and supporting the Quality specialists and engineers.
• Maintain supplier quality surveillance (SQS) logs and input to databases (such as MatMan, SAP, Invoice commitment, etc.)
• Perform support of basic SQS activities
• Stay current/updated with technical and functional developments in area of specialty through continuing education, conferences, and periodicals, for example, and continue to develop in-depth specialization, if desired
• Participate in Fluor University for training and career development
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to one (1) year; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering/technical field of study preferred
• Basic to intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
• Oral and written communication and computer skills
• Basic interpersonal skills
