The McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center assembles and tests some of the most advanced Electro-Optical Infrared products in the world. Manufacturing Supervisors supervise between 10 and 20 assembly operators and test technicians and perform a variety of tasks in guiding the team to assemble and test these products to deliver the highest standard of quality equipment into the hands of the warfighter.
What You Will Do
- Supervisors develop and maintain performance metrics for their teams and ensure that their production lines are meeting the production schedule and cost proposed to their customers.
- This candidate will be tasked with implementing continuous improvement methods utilizing lean manufacturing principles and be capable of motivating their team to be involved in these improvements.
- This is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week), 2nd shift position. Must be able to work occasional overtime during the week or on weekends to support customer needs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of direct leadership experience
- Experience with information technology systems (SAP)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Previous or current security clearance
- Experience working in an engineering environment and reading engineering drawings
