Job Summary:
The Business Development Specialist will sell products and services offered by Milwaukee Forge to current and new customer(s) / potential customer leads.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Accountable to manage house accounts / customers as part of the position responsibilities including reviewing sales forecasts, entering, editing customer orders and following up on internal / external customer correspondence items.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of forged parts or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Perform competitor analysis toward obtaining increased market share.
- Attend trade shows to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to meet customer needs.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proven history / passion for executing successful on-site sales calls (cold and/or planned visits).

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR
- At least five years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must have passion to travel up to 50% of the working time, including working a non-traditional work schedule while in travel mode.
