Job Description
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the following by performing work using instructions and to perform a series of operations to correctly move, stage, and ship RiteScreen products. Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of the following duties:
· Reads workorders and follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
· Pick and pack materials for shipment
· Assembles crates to contain products
· Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand, or material handling equipment
· Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
· Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area using a hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow or other device.
· Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist, cleans work area, machines and equipment using broom, rags and cleaning compounds
· Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
· Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
· Perform physical inventory counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
· Data entry, math and computer skills
· Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Education & Experience
· High school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience
· Six months warehouse experience
· Six months forklift operation experience
Physical Requirements
· Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands at arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch
· Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Regular, predictable attendance is required, including work hours as business demands dictate.
