Position Summary:
The Payroll & HR Administrator will perform a broad range of duties to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and compliance. Responsibilities include payroll processing, administration of employee/HR compliance reporting and governance, invoice processing, and additional duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supports the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of weekly and semimonthly payroll processing; maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, and federal legislation affecting payroll.
• Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting; ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
• Assists with the preparation of required tax filings, state set ups and payroll audit requests.
• Processes various purchase orders for invoices from vendors, including but not limited to benefits billing and staffing agencies.
• Prepares relevant metrics and reports including, but not limited to labor reports, federal and state reporting and internal departmental requests.
• Supports full employment cycle audits to ensure payroll and time keeping records are maintained in accordance with established Company policies and state and federal regulations.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database.
• Works closely with other members of HR to ensure consistency across locations.
• Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance.
• Supports HR processes and actively participates in efforts to streamline and improve HR activities and processes through technology.
• Provides general support in handling employee inquiries and concerns.
• Supports other tasks and projects as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• ADP Workforce Now payroll processing experience required.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices; strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced working knowledge of Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to a high standard of professional conduct.
Education / Experience:
• Minimum 3 years payroll processing experience.
• 3-5 years HR experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A) from an accredited college/university in Human Resources, Business Management, or related degree preferred.
