Job Title:        Sr. Commodity / Supply Chain Analyst – Mechanical Components  

Location:        1222 Hamilton Parkway, Itasca, IL, 60143

Job Duties: Work on direct materials of up to $50M in spend, supporting 3 North American manufacturing Companies; deliver cost reduction projects of 3-5% of responsible spend annually; manage global expedites and shortages of purchased mechanical components like die casting, stampings, machined parts, powder metal etc. and collaborate with various departments, especially engineering R&D, quality (factory and supplier), materials management, and sales. Up to 10% travel to suppliers located in Mexico, Canada, and the United States is required.    

Requirements: The position of Sr. Commodity / Supply Chain Analyst – Mechanical Components requires a Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation.

Specific Skills or Other Requirements: Additionally, the applicant must have the following: 

1. Experience with futures markets and raw material market indexes.
2. Experience with negotiating.
3. Experience with sourcing events, such as RFP/RFQ and reverse auctions and how/when to use them.
4. Experience with machined components (screws, caps, and fasteners).
5. Experience with different cost drivers and formulating commodity strategy.
6. Possess Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
